As much as I have cursed raccoons very existence while being at war with them when we lived in the woods, this pic breaks my heart. People are such a vain cruel animals to find this justifiable for merely the sake of beauty. At least with with leather there is no alternative that holds up or offers the same level of protection (welding equipment and such), fur is just for vanity. That being said, I do own a vintage fur coat, which I have not worn years, as it makes me so sad to wear. I bought it when the weather dropped very unexpectedly, and it was the cheapest coat I could find while waiting for a ride home as a teen. Every time I want to wear it out I worry about how I may be contributing to the commercialism of such a cruel product.Wondering how the beautiful raccoons you see in the forest turn into the fur vest hanging in INTERMIX’s storefront window?
